We do our best to make this step both prompt as well as concise, with a minimum of technical jargon. And when we say that the initial consultation is “free,” we mean it. There is no charge for our time or the proposal, and no obligation to use our service at this point of the process.

Technical Services
Pure & Gentle offers a free initial consultation session to discuss your product needs and how we can help you and your business succeed. During our consultation, we can offer insights into your existing market, current trends, as well as suggestions for product formulation and development.
Research & Development/Product Design
After the Consultation stage, we bring clients into the Research & Development stage, including Product Design for your product portfolio. This stage is vital for the success of your product. Careful thought and planning by both you and our team is necessary to achieve your goals. Following our initial consultation, if you agree to our written proposal, Pure & Gentle will create a personalized account for your business. We use what we’ve learned together from our consultation session and subsequent discovery meetings to understand your best options for an optimal product in terms of function (i.e., formulation, ingredients), design (i.e., color, fragrance, texture), and appearance (i.e., packaging).
While the specifics of this stage varies for each client, overall, it works like this:
We work to understand the characteristics and specifications of the product you want to create. Once we build that fundamental understanding together, we create multiple product prototypes for you to sample.
Building upon the initial prototypes, we work with you to refine your idea into a final formulation that meets your specifications. We aren’t done until you are fully satisfied with the test product.
Your approval and signoff on the final formulation is required before we proceed.
If requested, we’ll work up an estimate to produce your product in bulk. This can be useful if you’re considering either packaging the product yourself or contracting with a third party.
Product container: Once the formulary is finalized, the next step is selecting its container. Packaging decisions are a balance of appearance, function, and cost. The number of choices for packaging can be overwhelming, and we can help you with your selections.
Product naming: While we cannot provide a name for your product nor can we act as your legal counsel, we can recommend third-party resources to assist you with your selection. It is important that your brand name complies with US trademark laws and that it does not infringe upon any other established or registered brands.
Product label design: Pure & Gentle can assist you with the functional design of your label. We do recommend that you have your own legal counsel review the labels and product design(s) to ensure compliance with your local, state, and/or national laws.

Pure & Gentle is registered with the EPA, the FDA, and maintains ISO standards for our carbon-neutral manufacturing facility. Our team of in-house chemists and product development specialists are here to provide your business with a data-driven approach to your product formulation and quality. We implement a variety of tools in our labs to test formulations, prototypes, and final products—all to ensure consistent outputs and superior-quality performance.

Manufacturing
There’s a lot that goes into the manufacturing of your product, but there’s no reason it should be a mystery. Pure & Gentle offers our clients vertical integration throughout the process, from ordering raw materials to distribution and fulfillment of your product. Depending on your needs, Pure & Gentle can provide either a few parts of this process or all of it.
Based on the approved formulation, container, label, and packaging of your products, Pure & Gentle enters an order for the raw materials on your behalf. We have them shipped to our facility in Seguin, Texas and, depending on supply availability, this process can usually take approximately 30-60 days. As part of our commitment to the highest quality standards, we visually inspect the raw materials upon their arrival. This also includes containers, labels, and packaging for your products to ensure that all standards have been met.
The raw materials are inspected and tested, and QA/QC samples are taken by our in-house chemists. Once we ensure that standards are met, the procedures for the manufacture of your product are reviewed and the production run for your product in our facilities is scheduled. We then weigh, blend, and process the raw materials into your product formulations in accordance with the use of Certified Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Then, after your product has been manufactured, we measure and test the product to ensure it meets product specifications.
Using the containers, labels, and packaging options you have selected, our team fills, assembles, seals, labels, and packages your product. A large variety of packaging options are available based on your product’s and brand’s unique needs.
Depending on your needs, Pure & Gentle can help you manage the distribution and fulfillment aspects of your business. We have relationships with shipping vendors that can potentially help you efficiently scale this aspect of your business operations, depending on your needs.
